The offer

What is EllTec Analysis?

EllTec Analysis is a company providing financial market analyses. Every analysis combines fundamentals, macro analysis, correlations, seasonality, technical analysis (Elliott Waves, volume, price action, Fibonacci ratios), scenario planning, a potential trading plan whose performance is tracked in a model portfolio, and a risk assessment. It covers stocks, cryptocurrencies, commodities and indices.

More about EllTec Analysis →
Is this investment advice?

No. EllTec Analysis publishes analyses for a general readership. They take neither your finances nor your goals or risk tolerance into account and are no recommendation to buy or sell. Every investment decision is your own and at your own risk.

What is free and what is Premium?

Free in every analysis: the fundamentals, macro, correlations and seasonality sections and the EllTec Analysis Score. Index analyses are completely free. Also free: the macro dashboard, the Fear & Greed Index, the glossary, the interactive tools, the screener and the newsletter. Premium is the part from the technical analysis on: Elliott Wave count, target zones, scenarios with probabilities, the potential trading plan and the risk assessment, plus the Risk/Reward Score and the exact positions of the model portfolio.

How do I read an analysis?

Every analysis has the same structure: the cards at the top (EllTec Analysis Score, Fear & Greed, macro backdrop, Risk/Reward Score), then fundamentals, macro, correlations and seasonality, followed by the Elliott Wave count, scenarios, the potential trading plan and the risk assessment. The guide explains every part on a real example.

How often are the analyses updated?

Fundamentals are updated after the quarterly results, correlations, seasonality and the risk assessment once a quarter. The calculated figures (correlations, risk figures, DCF range) refresh automatically at least once a week, the EllTec Analysis Score is recalculated weekly, prices are checked daily and macro data several times a day. New analyses, scenario changes and analyses taken offline for an update are collected by the newsletter “EllTec Analysis Updates” in at most one email a day.

Data and method

Where does the data come from?

Macro data from FRED (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis), company figures from stockanalysis.com, crypto prices from Kraken, price series for correlations, seasonality and the Fear & Greed Index from Yahoo Finance, the crypto Fear & Greed Index from alternative.me and the interactive charts from TradingView. Only values calculated from them are published.

What is the EllTec Analysis Score?

A weekly fundamental rating of every analysed stock from −100 to +100: 20 figures on valuation, quality, growth, stability and capital, compared with 200 companies of the same sector and globally (2,000 reference companies in total). 0 means fairly valued, positive values undervalued.

Method and ranking →
What is the model portfolio?

The EllTec Analysis Tracking Portfolio executes the potential trading plans with a starting capital of 100,000 USD since May 2026, so the results can be checked. Its value and performance are public; subscribers of an asset class see the individual positions. A high cash share is intended: the portfolio waits for the entry zones of the analyses.

Does every analysis have a stop-loss and an invalidation level?

No. Not every analysis has a stop-loss or an invalidation level. They are given only where the scenario defines them.

Macro, sentiment and the Market Briefing

What is the Weekly Market Briefing?

Every Monday EllTec Analysis sums up the markets of the past week. It starts with the macro outlook: for the world and seven regions (USA, Germany, Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and the Middle East, Oceania) the view on equities, the automatic macro check, the key macro data and market sentiment. Then come equities, bonds, currencies, commodities, crypto, the top and flop performers and the dates of the new week. The briefing is in the macro dashboard; earlier issues are behind the "Earlier briefings" button.

Go to the Market Briefing →
What does the macro dashboard show?

More than 250 charts on interest rates, inflation, growth, the labour market, housing, liquidity, government finances, currencies and commodities, worldwide and for seven regions, updated several times a day. Every chart has a plain-language explanation, and every region an automatic check of whether the backdrop is a tailwind or a headwind for equities.

Go to the macro dashboard →
What is the EllTec Analysis Fear & Greed Index?

An in-house sentiment index for eight regions from 0 (extreme fear) to 100 (extreme greed). Every day it evaluates up to nine market indicators (momentum, strength, volatility, safe havens, junk bonds, market breadth, currency, gold and financial stress) and compares each with its own last three years. It is shown at the top of every stock and index analysis and in the macro dashboard.

Go to market sentiment →
Should I buy when there is fear and sell when there is greed?

Not mechanically. History shows that extreme fear was often a good moment in broad equity markets, but it takes patience; in Bitcoin the typical price three months after extreme fear was still lower. Extreme greed alone was a poor reason to sell. EllTec Analysis therefore uses sentiment to confirm the wave count and for risk management, never as a signal on its own.

Price alerts, community and tools

What are price alerts?

When a price reaches the entry zone of an analysis, this is recorded automatically and reported in the "EllTec Analysis Updates" newsletter and in the community channel of the asset class. Only subscribers whose plan covers the asset class see the entry zone; index alerts are visible to every member.

What happens when an analysis goes offline?

Analyses are sometimes taken offline for a while, for example when quarterly results or a price jump have changed the picture so much that they need to be revised. This is posted automatically in the community channel "Announcements" and mentioned in the next newsletter. When the analysis is back online, a notice follows as well.

What does the community offer?

A chat for members with channels for general questions, the discussion of the analyses and announcements, a Premium lounge for paying members and, per asset class, a channel with every buy and sell of the model portfolio and the price alerts. Messages are translated into English or German automatically.

Go to the community →
What can the AI chat do?

The AI chat answers questions about the analyses, the EllTec Analysis Score, the macro data, the offer and the technical terms, around the clock. It only uses content published freely on the site, is available to logged-in members with a confirmed email address and does not replace investment advice.

Go to the AI chat →
Which tools are there?

Free under Education → Tools: the Elliott Wave explorer, Fibonacci and position size calculators, a DCF calculator, an options calculator, a fundamentals calculator and calculators for tranches, loss recovery and savings plans. Many open directly with the data of an analysed stock.

Go to the tools →
Who are the education articles for?

Articles and courses have two levels: Beginner (the basics and how to read an analysis) and Advanced (the methods behind every analysis in depth). There is also a glossary with more than 500 terms and a free video course on Elliott Waves.
